It’s finally October, and that means the countdown to NaNoWriMo 2018 has begun!
What: National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is challenge that runs through the month of November. Participating novelists aim to complete a full draft of a 50,000-word manuscript during the month.
Why: To celebrate the insane things we can accomplish as writers when we put our minds to it.
How: Sign up on the NaNoWriMo website, and you’ll become an official member of the group of tenacious, amazing, inspiring authors scribbling away toward this goal.
But, really, how? 50,000 words in a month is most definitely a daunting goal, whether you’re a NaNoWriMo newbie or a seasoned veteran. This year, I’m here to help! I’m running a free online NaNoWriMo Power Group designed to help spark ideas, overcome writer’s block, and foster a supportive community where you and your fellow writers can share ideas, ask questions, celebrate successes, and even vent a little bit when things get tough.
Here’s what you’ll get:
A daily e-mail with a writing prompt and a little encouragement.
Access to a private Facebook group just for participants, which will include daily prompts and discussion starters, with opportunities to chat with your fellow NaNoWriMo rockstars throughout the month.
A surprise gift from me at the end of the month!

Note: This group is not officially affiliated with nanowrimo.org. I am an independent book editor and writing coach aiming to help authors find the inspiration they need to tell their best stories.
